Hayley McConnell

Operational Team / Skills Coach & Technical Trainer

Hayley brings 14 years of hands-on experience in the telecoms sector, where she has worked across faults and provisioning, fibre optics and telecoms engineering. Her career has also taken her into the world of medical technology, where she worked in the manufacturing and testing of devices such as linear accelerators, eventually progressing into a Technical Trainer role. Today, she combines her technical expertise with her love for developing people as a Skills Coach and Technical Trainer with The ITP.

In 2018, she completed a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Alongside this, she is now studying BTEC Level 4 Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), demonstrating her commitment to both engineering knowledge and effective teaching practice

Known for her approachable style and strong communication skills, Hayley is passionate about helping others grow, whether in the classroom, on the job or through one-to-one coaching. She thrives on seeing people succeed and is dedicated to creating supportive, inclusive learning environments.

Outside of work, she enjoys carp fishing, repairing electronics, and getting stuck into DIY projects around her home and garden.
