Neil Geary is Director, Technical Strategy & Architecture (for the Network) for Virgin Media O2.  He leads a team of network architects, tech strategy consultants and innovations experts across Mobile RAN, Fixed broadband, Network Transport, Technical site infrastructure and network Service Platforms. A further focus is on Energy Optimisation, forecasting energy load and proposing optimisation initiatives tied to the network roadmap.  The team sets the vision blueprint for the network future state and then works collaboratively to define architecture documentation, working closely with the planning and engineering departments as we kick off network transformation initiatives.

Neil has more than twenty years of experience in the industry and has worked in multiple countries and operator types including unbundlers, incumbents, cable and fibre. He holds an Engineering Doctorate from University College London, and is a UK-registered Chartered Engineer.
