ITP Partner Lecture: Drones - expanding operations through cellular connectivity

This event has already occurred, and can no longer be registered for.

Event Description

By 2030, nearly a million drones could be operating in the UK’s skies, contributing £45bn to the UK economy. Having an ‘eye in the sky’ is attractive across diverse industry sectors including construction, farming and emergency services. Existing cellular networks are well placed to support such missions by providing reliable long-range communication between drone and pilot.

Tim Rawling, Principal Architect for 5G Network Applications – BT
