An Operations or Departmental Manager oversees teams and projects to achieve departmental goals and support the organisation's strategy. They report to senior managers or business owners. While specific responsibilities and titles may vary across private, public, or third-sector organisations of all sizes, the required knowledge, skills, and behaviours are consistent. Key duties include creating and implementing operational plans, managing projects and teams, handling change, and overseeing financial and resource management, talent management, and coaching.
The program is a journey of discovery over the duration of the course, featuring a blended learning approach with a dedicated personal coach throughout. Apprentices benefit from workshops, webinars, VideoScribes, support booklets, and access to the CMI library, with support from trainers, assessors, and administrators.
The program supports apprentices in all areas of life-emotional, academic, and professional-leading to successful completion of their management apprenticeship. It focuses on developing inclusive leaders who address equality, diversity, and inclusion, bridging the gap between current performance and future senior roles. Participants will gain the skills and confidence needed to drive inclusion and advance as leaders.

Apprenticeship Qualifications
On successful completion of the programme, the apprentice will be awarded with a Level 5 Operations / Departmental Manager apprenticeship certificate. They will also achieve the CMI L5 Diploma in Management & Leadership.
