Darren is an Equiity Partner and Head of Infrastructure at Cluttons LLP, a leading surveying practice with offices nationwide. He has worked in the telecommunications industry for over 18 years and is a Chartered Surveyor, having been elected as member of the RICS in 2011.

Darren brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the sector. He has advised mobile operators, infrastructure providers and fixed-line providers on their property strategy and estate management, playing a key role in network rollout and major transformation programmes. He has led teams delivering 3G, 4G and 5G acquisition and upgrade programmes, as well as general estate management, for clients including Cornerstone, Virgin Media O2, Vodafone, Cellnex and Arqiva. His team has also supported BT Openreach, CityFibre, 4th Utility, MBNL and others in managing their wayleave programmes across the country.

With specialist expertise in estate strategy, landlord and tenant matters, wayleaves and the Electronic Communications Code, Darren offers informed, pragmatic guidance on the property dimension of digital infrastructure. He understands first-hand how access to land, buildings and secure rights to house critical technical equipment is fundamental to the success of mobile, fixed line and wider connectivity programmes, and he is passionate about ensuring this perspective is represented at the highest levels of the industry.

Beyond his technical and commercial expertise, Darren is equally committed to developing the next generation of talent. He has worked as a mentor and with a number of apprentices throughout his career, supporting individuals at the earliest stages of their professional journey and championing the importance of investing in people across the sector.
