Tim Creswick MITP Board of Directors / ITP Chair
Tim Creswick is the former CEO and Founder of Vorboss, the only dedicated fibre network and internet service purpose-built for the needs of London’s most demanding businesses.
Tim realised his entrepreneurial spirit when he started mowing neighbours’ lawns in his school days to earn pocket money. He soon became interested in software when he designed a billing system to invoice his customers, later teaching himself to code and building websites to help fund his university studies.
He founded Vorboss in 2006 as a software consultancy and later pivoted the business after spotting a gap in the market for high-quality connectivity for businesses. Under his leadership, Vorboss grew rapidly - expanding its team by over 300 people in just two years and increasing revenue by more than 400% over an 18-month period.
Since 2020, the company has installed over 700 km of fibre optic cable across London and invested more than £250 million to build the city’s only full-coverage fibre network dedicated exclusively to business. Vorboss set a new standard for enterprise connectivity by offering 10 Gbps as a minimum service and delivering 100 Gbps connections to customers including 22 Bishopsgate – the UK’s largest office building.
Tim built the company with a people-first philosophy and a strong commitment to gender equality. He established the Vorboss Academy, an industry-first, accredited in-house training programme that equips people with the skills to launch a career in telecommunications. He led the company to be recognised as a Sunday Times Best Place to Work three years in a row.
Tim now focuses on advising and investing in startups and technology and infrastructure businesses, drawing on his experience building and scaling one of the UK’s most respected telecoms companies.
